Health Benefits of Avocado Collagen Brownies (Pregnancy + Postpartum)

1. Healthy Fats for Hormones & Baby’s Brain Development (Avocado + Almond Butter)

Avocado and almond butter provide monounsaturated fats, which support:

  • Healthy hormone production
  • Baby’s brain and nervous system development
  • Improved skin elasticity (helpful during a stretching belly!)
  • Steady blood sugar levels = fewer energy crashes

2. Skin, Hair & Tissue Repair Support (Collagen)

Nutra Organics collagen contributes to:

  • Skin elasticity during pregnancy
  • Supporting connective tissue as the body grows and shifts
  • Postpartum tissue healing (particularly after birth or breastfeeding changes)
  • Stronger hair and nails at a time they can weaken

3. Natural Energy Without the Spike (Coconut Sugar)

Coconut sugar has:

  • A lower glycaemic impact than refined sugar
  • Trace minerals (iron, zinc, calcium, potassium)
  • This means more stable energy and fewer intense cravings — especially helpful in the fatigue-prone first and third trimesters.

4. Mood & Magnesium Boost (Cacao)

Cacao is rich in:

  • Magnesium (supports muscle relaxation and sleep)
  • Antioxidants
  • Mood-supporting compounds (like theobromine and tryptophan precursors)

This makes it supportive for:

  • Pregnancy sleep troubles
  • Postpartum depletion
  • Stress and overwhelm

5. Gentle Protein Hit (Eggs + Collagen)

Eggs and collagen together offer:

  • High-quality protein
  • Support for blood sugar balance
  • Tissue repair and recovery postpartum
  • Protein is particularly supportive for:
  • Third-trimester growth
  • Postpartum recovery
  • Breastfeeding nutrient demands

6. Better Digestion & Reduced Bloating (Healthy Fats + Cacao)

The blend of fibre-rich avocado and healthy fats supports:

  • Smoother digestion
  • More balanced bowel movements (helpful for constipation in pregnancy)

7. A Nourishing Treat Without the Crash

This brownie provides a treat that still offers:

  • Good fats
  • Protein
  • Antioxidants
  • Stable energy

Perfect for:

  • Afternoon pregnancy slumps
  • Breastfeeding hunger
  • Late-night postpartum snacks
